Current Role: Head of Expansion, WeWork, New York

What and where did you study before your Mountbatten internship?
I was an economics major at Hunter College in NYC.

What made you apply for the Mountbatten program?
I had heard about the program roughly six years earlier and always knew it would be the next stop for me after college. Being given the opportunity to work in Finance, in Europe and study for my MBA was an experience I couldn’t pass up.

Describe your sponsor company and your role within it.
I worked for Deutsche Bank on a back office team that was in charge of helping take three Trader Sales platforms and combine them into one. The idea was to make the sales platform more efficient.

What was the highlight/most memorable moment of your working experience during this year? I had the chance to work with a Deloitte consultant, learn go-to-market strategy, and perfect my pitch and delivery in front of C-Levels.

Please share a little wisdom/philosophy that you acquired during your internship
Saying yes to everything. Traveling, different experiences, meeting new people - I was open minded and it was the best thing I could do.

If you could change anything about your internship, what would it be?
Nothing.

What happened after completing the year - what did you do next?
I moved back to NYC to live with two of my best friends (who I met on the program), and went back to work for an advertising firm, where I helped develop the sales strategy and grow as an account executive.

Where are you now in your working life and what do you do?
I currently work for a company called WeWork. I’ve been with them for four years and have held a variety of roles, always focused on Sales and Expansion into new markets.

Do you have any future plans that you would like to realise & what are they (career & social)?
I want to keep growing as a sales executive and develop my ability to build and coach leaders.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I’ve run all 6 World Major Marathons over the past years and have trained for these races across a dozen + countries.
