A memorial for Robert Thornhill

August 2018 Edition

In the last few months several events have taken place in Bangkok, featured throughout this newsletter, including a memorial service at a Thai Temple, for Mr Robert Guy Thornhill, former Director of the Asia Pacific office.

The service was held on Saturday, 9 June 2018 at Wat Pathum Wanaram Temple at 9.00 am in Bangkok, Thailand. The service was attended by the Asia Pacific Office's Board of Director members as well as close friends, former colleagues, members of staff and alumni. Mr. Thornhill served as a member of the Board of Directors since the office's inception in 2006 and was Director of the Asia Pacific Office until 2012. He was a beloved and respected mentor who devoted his professional life to education.
