Visa Information

About the Tier 5 visa

Mountbatten Program Trainees are sponsored to work in the UK, for 12 months, under Tier 5 (Temporary Worker - Government Authorised Exchange) of the UK Visas and Immigration Points Based System (PBS). Each Trainee is issued with a Certificate of Sponsorship, by Mountbatten, upon confirmation of placement with a London host organization. The Certificate of Sponsorship is a unique reference number that allows you to apply for and obtain a visa from a British Consulate or Embassy in your home country, prior to entering the UK. The Program advises and assists candidates with this process, but has no say in the granting of a visa.

As part of the visa application process, all UK visa applicants are required to submit their biometric data (finger scans and digital photo).

Upon conclusion of the Program, Trainees must depart the UK, in accordance with the country's immigration laws.

Comprehensive details on how to obtain a UK Visa are provided upon placement with a London host organization.

Please note the Tier 5 visa is not eligible for spouses or dependent children, neither can Mountbatten Program provide living accommodation for spouses or dependents.
